Green Education Design Article

without comments

Small Kane is an advocate of sustainable design. This has been especially important in the firm’s education projects, where well-thought out design choices make a positive impact on learning environments, set an example for future generations, and save taxpayers money in land, energy and water costs.

NC Magazine recently interviewed Neal Conley, AIA, a principal and project architect at Small Kane, on how the firm seeks to provide “A Green Education.” The article, posted below, discusses what area firms are doing to promote green technologies in school design, and it features information for the Barwell Road Elementary School and Community Center project designed for Wake County Public Schools and City of Raleigh Parks and Recreation Department.
